GoHighLevel vs HubSpot (2026): which one I'd pick, and when HubSpot wins

Pick GoHighLevel if you're an agency or a local service business: one flat plan gives you a sub-account per client, white label, texting, calling, booking, websites and AI agents, from $97 a month ($297 for unlimited clients). Pick HubSpot if you're a B2B company with a sales team that lives on reporting and integrations, and you're fine paying per seat plus a required onboarding fee once you go Professional.

When I started my agency I listed HubSpot as one of the tools I didn't want to pay for separately, and HighLevel's pipeline has covered my CRM ever since. That's my bias, so below is everything side by side with prices from both companies' own pricing pages as of October 31, 2026, including the parts where HubSpot is better.

The video version

Short version

  • 01HighLevel charges a flat plan: $97, $297 or $497 a month with unlimited contacts and users. Texts, calls, email and AI are billed on usage on top.
  • 02HubSpot charges per seat and per hub. Starter lists at $20 a seat (discounted to $7 for new customers right now). Marketing Hub Professional is $800 a month plus a required $3,000 onboarding fee.
  • 03Client sub-accounts and white label are the big difference. They're how HighLevel is built, and they don't appear anywhere on HubSpot's pricing pages.
  • 04HubSpot wins on custom reporting, sales forecasting, its app marketplace and deeper B2B sales tools. If that's your business, use HubSpot.

GoHighLevel vs HubSpot, feature by feature

Everything below comes from each company's own pricing pages, read October 31, 2026. Where HubSpot puts a feature on a higher tier, I've said which one, because that's where the price jumps.

HubSpot pricing vs GoHighLevel pricing in 2026

HubSpot's pricing page loads with annual billing selected, and that's what these numbers are. The struck-through price is the list price, and HubSpot labels the lower Starter price as a new-customer discount (up to 65% off, for a limited time).

What it costs an agency with clients

This is where the two really split. HighLevel gives every client their own sub-account under one plan. HubSpot's pricing pages don't list anything like that, so the closest setup is each client running their own HubSpot account. I've priced that with 2 seats per client.

HighLevel numbers are the plan only. Texts, calls, email and AI are billed on usage (rates in Usage fees), and on the $297 plan you can rebill them to the client at cost. HubSpot's SMS add-on and extra credits are also on top.

Why I didn't pay for HubSpot

When I started my AI business my budget was under $300 a month, and I needed one tool to be my CRM, my booking system, my website, my contracts and invoices, and the thing I build AI agents in for clients. I didn't want to pay for DocuSign and Calendly and Zapier and HubSpot separately. 20 bucks for this, 20 bucks for Calendly, 50 bucks for HubSpot, it all adds up.

So my leads live in Opportunities in HighLevel: new leads, hot leads, interested, won. Every deal gets a note and a follow-up task, because the money is made in the follow-ups. I'm on the $497 plan, but the one I recommend is $297 because it's where white label starts (see White label guide). My clients log in at Hexona Systems and never see the word HighLevel.

When HubSpot is the better pick

If you're a B2B company with a real sales team, HubSpot is built for you and HighLevel mostly isn't. Sales Hub Professional has forecasting, sequences, conversation intelligence and deal plans. Enterprise adds deal splits, pipeline approvals and a sandbox. On the marketing side, custom reporting goes up to 100 reports on Professional and 500 on Enterprise, with multi-touch revenue attribution at the top.

The integration side is also bigger. HubSpot's App Marketplace has first-party apps like Gmail with over half a million installs, plus Zapier for everything else. If your team already lives in that stack, moving to HighLevel would be a step sideways.

And if you just need a free CRM for two people, HubSpot's free plan is a real free plan. HighLevel only has a free trial.

When GoHighLevel is the better pick

When you're an agency, or you're selling to local businesses. A plumber or a med spa needs texting, a booking calendar with reminders, review requests and a website far more than they need revenue attribution. All of that is in every HighLevel plan, and on $297 every client gets their own sub-account under your brand for no extra platform fee.

It's also where I build AI agents for clients: voice receptionists, SMS and Instagram agents. HubSpot has AI agents too: its Customer Agent answers questions across chat, email, forms and calling and runs on HubSpot Credits. It just isn't set up around an agency running agents in separate client accounts.

Moving from HubSpot to GoHighLevel

HighLevel has a built-in HubSpot Importer. Go to Contacts, Companies or Opportunities, click Import, choose Connect HubSpot and sign in. It brings over contacts, companies, deals as opportunities, pipelines and stages, properties as custom fields, notes, emails and tasks, and you can filter by created or last modified date first.

A few things to know from HighLevel's docs: existing matching records aren't overwritten, imported emails are read-only, and deals need their contacts imported too. HighLevel recommends testing the import in a new sub-account first, which is what I'd do.

How to decide in an afternoon

  1. 01

    Count your clients

If you'll manage more than one business, price HubSpot per client and compare it to HighLevel's flat $297. That one line usually decides it.

  2. 02

    List what you actually need

Texting, booking, websites and AI agents point to HighLevel. Forecasting, custom reports and a big B2B integration stack point to HubSpot.

  3. 03

    Check the onboarding fee

HubSpot Professional and Enterprise have a required one-time onboarding fee ($1,500 to $7,000). Add it to year one.

  4. 04

    Try HighLevel for 30 days

Through my link the trial is 30 days on the $297 plan instead of the usual 14. Run the HubSpot Importer into a test sub-account and see how your data looks.

FAQ

Is GoHighLevel better than HubSpot?

For agencies and local service businesses, yes, because one flat plan covers client sub-accounts, white label, SMS, calling, booking, websites and AI agents. For B2B sales teams that need forecasting, custom reporting and a big integration stack, HubSpot is the better tool.

Is GoHighLevel cheaper than HubSpot?

At small scale, no: HubSpot has a free CRM and Starter seats from $7 (list $20). Once you have clients or need marketing automation, yes: HighLevel is $297 flat for unlimited client accounts, while HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional alone is $800 a month plus $3,000 onboarding (prices as of Oct 31, 2026).

What's the best HubSpot alternative for agencies?

GoHighLevel is what I use and what I'd pick, because client sub-accounts and white label are built in and the price doesn't go up per client. Usage like texts and calls can be rebilled to clients. The other options I looked at are on GoHighLevel alternatives.

Does HubSpot have white label or client sub-accounts?

Neither appears on HubSpot's pricing pages as of October 2026. HighLevel includes 3 sub-accounts on Starter, unlimited on the $297 plan, and white labeling of the web app.

Can HubSpot send SMS?

Yes, as a paid add-on on certain plans. HubSpot's own page says messages go from US numbers to +1 numbers (US and Canada) and only to contacts who opted in. In HighLevel, two-way SMS is on every plan and billed per use.

Can I move my data from HubSpot to GoHighLevel?

Yes. HighLevel's HubSpot Importer connects to your HubSpot account and brings over contacts, companies, deals, pipelines, stages, custom fields, notes, emails and tasks. Start it from Contacts, Companies or Opportunities > Import.

Does HubSpot charge an onboarding fee?

On Professional and Enterprise, yes, and HubSpot calls it required. As of Oct 31, 2026: $3,000 for Marketing Hub Professional, $7,000 for Marketing Hub Enterprise, $1,500 for Sales Hub Professional and $3,500 for Sales Hub Enterprise. HighLevel's pricing page lists no onboarding fee.
