GoHighLevel vs ClickFunnels (2026): which one I'd pick, and when I wouldn't
Heads up: the trial buttons on this page use my affiliate link. If you sign up through it I get a commission. It doesn't cost you more.
If you run an agency or a local service business, GoHighLevel is the better pick: same $97 starting price, but unlimited contacts, built-in texting and calling, AI agents and white label client accounts. If you sell your own courses or products online and funnels are the whole business, ClickFunnels is simpler and still a great funnel builder.
My agency runs on HighLevel and every client of mine gets a branded account in it, so I'm biased and I'll say so up front. Below is every ClickFunnels plan and limit as of October 31, 2026, a side by side on the features people actually ask about, and the cases where I'd tell you to pick ClickFunnels.

The video version
Short version
- 01Both start at $97 a month. ClickFunnels caps contacts (10K on Launch, up to 400K on Dominate). HighLevel has unlimited contacts and users on every plan.
- 02ClickFunnels now has workspaces (1, 5, 10 or 20 by plan) and an Agency App, but no white label. HighLevel's $297 plan gives unlimited sub-accounts you can brand as your own.
- 03Texting in ClickFunnels means connecting your own Twilio or Bandwidth account, and there's no built-in calling or voice AI. HighLevel has SMS, calls and AI agents built in, billed on usage.
- 04ClickFunnels includes your email sends up to a monthly cap and doesn't charge usage on texts or AI, so the bill is easier to predict for a solo seller.
ClickFunnels pricing and limits in 2026
ClickFunnels has four plans. The three monthly ones are $97, $197 and $297, about 16% cheaper paid yearly, and Dominate is yearly only at $5,997. Funnels are unlimited on every plan right now, but ClickFunnels labels that "Limited Time", so don't count on it staying that way.
The limits are what actually separate the plans: workspaces (ClickFunnels calls them sub-accounts too), team members, contacts, monthly emails and courses. The pricing page doesn't list admin users separately. Everyone on your team counts as a team member.
| Plan | Monthly / yearly | Workspaces | Team members | Contacts | Emails/mo | Courses |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | $97 / $970 ($81/mo) | 1 | 2 | 10K | 50K | 3 |
| Scale | $197 / $1,970 ($164/mo) | 5 | 5 | 75K | 300K | 6 |
| Optimize | $297 / $2,970 ($248/mo) | 10 | 10 | 150K | 750K | 10 |
| Dominate | Yearly only, $5,997 | 20 | 20 | 400K | 1.2M | 20 |

GoHighLevel pricing next to it
HighLevel is $97 a month on Starter (3 sub-accounts), $297 on Unlimited (unlimited sub-accounts) and $497 on Founder, with unlimited contacts and unlimited users on all of them. Paying yearly gets you 2 months free.
The catch is usage. Phone numbers, texts, emails and premium AI are billed on top on every plan (rates in Usage fees). On Unlimited and up you can rebill that to your clients, so for an agency it isn't your cost. For one business, budget for it.
I'm on the $497 plan and I'd still tell most people to start on $297, because that's where white label and unlimited client accounts start.
| Plan | Monthly | Sub-accounts | Contacts and users |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97 | 3 | Unlimited |
| Unlimited | $297 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Founder | $497 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited | Unlimited |

Which one is the better funnel builder?
ClickFunnels is one of the biggest funnel builders in the world and it's built around exactly that: funnels, checkout, upsells, courses and community for someone selling their own offer. Russell Brunson's whole training ecosystem sits on top of it, which is a big reason people stay.
HighLevel's funnel builder does the job for me. You get a big template library across every niche, order forms with one-click upsells, and the pages live in the same account as the CRM, calendar and texting. I test funnels all the time in my own business, and slight changes can make a huge difference on conversion rates. I've never felt boxed in by HighLevel there.
The agency angle: workspaces vs sub-accounts
This is where they split. ClickFunnels does have workspaces now, 1 on Launch up to 20 on Dominate, and in 2026 it added an Agency App that creates client workspaces and invites the client. That app needs a separate Agency Plan that isn't on the public pricing page, and I couldn't find any white label option in ClickFunnels' help docs. Your client logs into ClickFunnels.
On HighLevel's $297 plan you get unlimited sub-accounts, and you can white label the web app (see White label guide) so clients log in at your domain with your logo. Mine say Hexona Systems. My clients basically never see the word HighLevel. They get a CRM, booking, texting, reviews, AI agents and a website, all under my brand.
That's the reason I picked it. When I started I wanted one tool that could be my CRM, build websites and AI agents, do email, send contracts and invoices, with a budget under $300 a month, because I didn't want to pay for Calendly, DocuSign, Zapier and HubSpot separately. This is a real business model and I run my agency on it. HighLevel even gives out awards to agencies at 100+, 500+ and 1,000+ client accounts.
Texting, calls and AI agents
Selling AI to local businesses is mostly speed to lead: text back in seconds, answer the phone, book the appointment. In HighLevel that's all native. Buy a number, turn on Conversation AI for texts and DMs or Voice AI for calls, and it books into the calendar. Every message lands in one Conversations inbox.
ClickFunnels' MessageHub can hold SMS, email, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and web chat in one inbox too, but for texting you connect your own Twilio or Bandwidth account. There's no built-in calling, and its AI is aimed at building funnels and writing copy, plus an MCP server so you can manage it from Claude or ChatGPT. There's no voice agent answering phones.
When ClickFunnels is the better pick
If you're a creator, coach or ecommerce seller with your own offer, ClickFunnels is a legit choice and sometimes the better one. You don't need a client account per business, you don't need a phone system, and you want a funnel tool with a big community and training around it.
The bill is also simpler. Your email sends are included up to the monthly cap on each plan, ClickFunnels doesn't take a cut of your sales, and there's no per-text or per-minute AI usage because there isn't native texting or voice AI to bill. On HighLevel you'll pay for texts, emails, calls and premium AI as you use them.
And if you're already deep in ClickFunnels with working funnels and a list that fits under your contact cap, moving everything just to have more features is a lot of work for little gain. I'd only switch once you actually need texting, calls, AI agents or client accounts.
Looking for a ClickFunnels alternative?
HighLevel is the alternative I'd point most people to, since the starting price is the same $97 and it adds the follow-up side: SMS, calls, AI agents, reviews and a full CRM. The money is made in the follow-ups, and that's the part funnel tools leave to other software.
If you only want something cheaper for courses and digital products, Systeme.io or Kajabi are worth a look. I compared those, plus HubSpot, Vendasta and ActiveCampaign, on GoHighLevel alternatives.

FAQ
Is GoHighLevel better than ClickFunnels?
For agencies and local service businesses, yes, because it adds unlimited contacts, built-in SMS and calling, AI agents and white label client accounts at the same $97 starting price. For a solo creator selling their own course or product through funnels, ClickFunnels is simpler and can be the better fit.
How much does ClickFunnels cost in 2026?
As of October 31, 2026: Launch $97 a month, Scale $197 and Optimize $297, or $81, $164 and $248 a month paid yearly. Dominate is $5,997 a year and only sold yearly.
Does ClickFunnels have sub-accounts or white label?
It has workspaces: 1 on Launch, 5 on Scale, 10 on Optimize and 20 on Dominate, plus an Agency App on a separate Agency Plan. I couldn't find a white label option in its help docs. HighLevel's $297 plan has unlimited sub-accounts and a white label web app.
Does ClickFunnels have SMS?
Yes, through MessageHub, but you connect your own Twilio or Bandwidth account to send texts. It doesn't have built-in calling. HighLevel has SMS and calling built in, billed on usage.
Can I use ClickFunnels and GoHighLevel together?
You can, and some people keep funnels in ClickFunnels and follow-up in HighLevel. You'd be paying twice and syncing contacts between them, so once your funnels are rebuilt in HighLevel most people drop one.
Which has the longer free trial?
ClickFunnels has a 14-day free trial, and refunds within 30 days of purchase. HighLevel's standard trial is 14 days, and it's 30 days through my link.
How many contacts can I have on ClickFunnels vs GoHighLevel?
ClickFunnels allows 10K contacts on Launch, 75K on Scale, 150K on Optimize and 400K on Dominate. HighLevel has unlimited contacts on every plan.
